Icon IV

The series "Icons” looks at form as a factor of perspective. A fixed two-dimensional shape, viewed from a series of different vantage points, reveals any number of different forms. The instability of our own perspective seems to project that instability onto the shapes around us – yet the physical object remains true. Here, a single viewpoint of a multi-object form is fixed in wood and gold, taking on the role of an icon, a symbol of our attempts at finding order amidst the confusion of individual perspective.
